Other errors too.

ATTN; ADMIN

Ok, I'll sit with you a while and point out some issues and errors that you may or may not be aware of. I hope it helps point out some areas that need to be addressed in order to set new signups at ease.

1. I signed up 2 times fore a business acount and it only gave me a personal pro account.

2. When I clicked "Upgrade account" it spit an error number out.

3. I then searched and searched before I requested "help" via the "help" form, that was 3 days ago, no reply yet. But I noticed at least, that when clicking the "Upgrade account", it now at least says something other than an error number, but still just a useless. it says "Your account is already upgraded to Personal Pro".

4. I then Googled and Googled for any alternative work-arounds... as I really needed Alertpay to work out for me, due to the nature of my content and your lenient policies (*thumbs up, you earned a devoted fan)... I found this lonely stashed away thread http://dev.alertpay.com/forums/t/9.aspx. It really has nothing to do with my issues of not being able to upgrade from "Personal Pro" per-se, but it offered a direct link that was not available in my "Personal Pro" account under "My account"... that is the "Business" option ( https://www.alertpay.com/MerchantProfile.aspx )! Once I signed up another account under this area I went back to "home" tab... it now registers me as "Account : Business". Wheww, what a relief! But the upgrade link is still showing to the right-hand side (why? I dont know, I thought "Business" was the highest offered), so I click it. LOL, still says "Your account is already upgraded to Personal Pro"!

5. The alertpay_style.css CSS is a mess with invalid code. This was the first place I looked to see if I was going to stick around long enough to weather the “upgrades” you all were doing. It always somehow puts me more at ease with my financial information if I see the code-work has a solid foundation. I suggest you fix it or you may lose sign ups.

6. The site has alignment issues in Opera, namely, on the front page you will notice the table footers misaligned. Also, this point is not fresh in my mind anymore but there were issues in opera with a couple (not all) of the help tips (green question marks)… but I forgot where now. And I cant remember if I was able to complete the registration process at all with opera (don’t quote me on the latter, cant remember).

7. There is an issue in the “TERMS OF SERVICE” section, where you enter your terms and click submit, the next page is blank! Yet if you go ahead and submit that one too it will complete. Yet when you go to re-edit it, it gives you these itty bitty, tiny, ieency wieency baby boxes to preview them in… highly annoying!

8. Log in sessions, they seem to expire after a short time as the header menu calls for “LOG IN” again…but you can still navigate and use everything just fine!

9. SSL, Did I see an invalid certificate? I don’t know I thought I did when visiting one of your sites… alertpay.com and http:www.alertpay.com may be different addresses. There may be some issue with .www, depending on your set up it may actually be a different sub-domain, but if you have an a separate secure/ssl directory…oh I don’t know I cant tell from the outside. If many people report it though, you may want someone to look into it.

10. On the credit card processing form, the telephone and zipcode have underscores. This may be just cosmetic, but it looks terribly unclean and unprofessional. I realize you may use them to indicate space counts but I think a side note like : “(zip: 5 digit number format ex.: “12345”) or even a mouseover help hint (?), would be much more presentable. Sorry, I just cringe when I think aboutpresenting that form to a client.

Finally, one or 2 of these issues may have been addressed by now, as I noticed these issues yesterday. Like, I see the “TOS baby boxes” look normal now. This is just all heads-up from an end-usersperspective, hope its constructive. Fix it up so I can use it with glee!
