intergration with own shopping cart

Our customer just registered with alertpay and they have their own shopping cart programmed in asp.net.

we have to link the total & orderno in shopping with alertpay. we know that we have to advance intergration.

Can you guide us step by step waht to do. even we read the intergration pdf file but not that clear.

Neep help as soon as possible..

Introducing Multi-Item Checkout

AlertPay is proud to announce the release of our newest feature: Multi-Item Checkout.

Multi-Item Checkout allows you to further integrate your shopping cart by listing all the items a customer is checking out with. This means that along with processing your payments, the Pay Process page will also account for all the items in the cart when the customer checks out.

Developers can now use the following variables along with the usual ones:

ap_itemname -- Original variable, can still be used

ap_itemname_1

ap_itemname_2

ap_itemname_3 and so on for multiple items

*Please note that the index numbers can be anything, and do not have to be in order (they will be displayed in increasing order regardless of missing numbers inbetween). They can be used without the need for the original ap_itemname to be present, but they can also be used in conjunction if necessary.

we can use the same indexing system for the following variables, to tie them with the corresponding itemname:

ap_description_[index]

ap_itemcode_[index]

ap_amount_[index]

ap_quantity_[index]

Using the above, you can easily build buttons that are product packages and sell your items or services as bundles. We are looking forward to incorporating this feature into a more dynamic button that lets the customer choose how they want their products bundled, however this is a feature that is most likely not going to be released until next year.

Please note that this feature will only start being available as of the next release, scheduled for next week.

IPN Not working

Hello,

I have a problem with the AlertPay IPN...

My system capture the Total Amount of the transaction. Before the update, the value received was, for example, 10.25, but now the value received is $10.25 USD.

My system don't recognized the value in numbers, and don't update the user account after the payment.

How can i solve this?

In the case of a subscription, you will receive two IPN post for the first payment of a subscription. In the case of a recurring subscription, you will receive one IPN post.

The "ap_status" that you will receive when a user first subscribes will have a value of "Success". Then you will also receive an "ap_status" with value "Subscription-Payment-Success".

Here are few suggestions to avoid getting "Access Denied" in the flow of your IF statement.

You should check for "ap_purchasetype" to be "Subscription", to make sure that the IPN data you are receiving is for a subscription and not for an item for example.

You might want to handle the different "ap_status" that we are sending in case of a subscription
ex: if (($ap_Status eq "Subscription-Payment-Success")

Please refer to page 49 of our integration guide for the other possible statuses.

Since your code only checks for "Success" then it will go to "Access Denied" because the status is actually "Subscription-Payment-Success".

IPN Not Working

When I test a purchase I get access denied in my program, which is what I should get

if the ap_status or the ap_securitycode don't match their $. However, when I print the IPN post
to a file to see what I'm getting, it is returning two posts as you can see above. The xxx's are the security code
and they are the same on both lines.
Am I supposed to be getting both posts?
Could that be a reason my script is not accepting the codes, and denying access?

Not a valid alertpay email format

Script is in PERL

I finally have the IPN postback working but then the customer is brought to

a sign up form to gain access to members area. This is what I get when I hit submit.(Not a valid alertpay email format).

Here is the section the error comes from:

Collect variables from Alertpay to cgi

How do you capture the variables passed by Alertpay in a cgi format?

Variables such as ap_status, ap_securitycode, and others.

The cgi script I'm trying to get to work was set up to work with SFIpay IPN.

I am trying to convert it to Alertpay.

The admin, and members part of the script works fine. I can manually add a new member and that new member can sign in and access the member's area.

I can make a test transaction and the payment goes through Alertpay fine but when it returns to my site I get Access Denied. Which is what the script calls for if payment was not recorded by the script.

It is not reading in the ap_status and the ap_securitycode.

The alert return URL is to this script.

How do I write the code to read in the Alertpay variables and then pass them to the script?

My program is a monthly subscription.
