when using the test mode on the ipn file, does alertpay still send the information to the ipn file because i can not get it to post the data from a purchase to my database no matter what i try to do.

    Hello,

Our system will send the IPN data to your AlertURL when the Test Mode is either enabled or disabled.

Concerning your issue, please check for the following:

    1. Make sure that you AlertURL is correct and is directing to your script.
    2. Make sure that your AlertURL is not an alias, it has to be an actual URL.
    3. Make sure that your ReturnURL is not the same as your AlertURL.
    4. Please check if your server/host provider is not blocking our public IP
    5. Please check the firewall settings on your server that might be blocking our IPN post.

If the issue still persists after verifying the above, please send us support ticket under "Technical Support" at our Helpdesk. Please provide us with your email address so that we can assist you privately on this matter.

Can someone provide me some detail on this from the list above

    1. Make sure that you AlertURL is correct and is directing to your script.

My alerturl is something like ipnprocess.php. Is this not correct? Does it have to be an html file that calls the script or something because mine will not work either

    Hello,

You AlertURL should be similar to the following: www.mywebsite.com/ipnhandlerscript.php

The file located at the AlertURL must be a server-side scripting file and will have the following extensions: php, asp, aspx or jsp, just to name a few.
