 I would like to know if it is really Alert Pay that contacted me and if I can get into any kind of trouble for cashing the checks theyre sending me?

I am supposed to cash the check, take out 10% for myself and then western union or money gram the remainder to a name they provide. Is this a standard mode of operation or is i some crazy internet *** by someone posing as Alert Pay?

It sounds fishy. Anyway it's not a good idea to receive money using one payment method and then resend this money using another one payment method. IMHO you have strong chances to be cheated.

Please send the email to spoof[at]alertpay.com (replace [at] with @) with the complete header and we'll look into the matter.

Yes you have to wonder why the reply email is alertpayinc.officecenter@yahoo.com. It's a ***!

That has nothing to do with AlertPay. Your bank may temporally let you cash the checks but for sure you will have to pay the Bank back for the checks in full when they bounce and be out all that money!

 So what was the outcome?? Im curious to know if you followed through with it, or not, and if it was a ***, or not?  I can't seem to find anything online to say yay or nay?

It's obviously not legitimate.
