Hi,

Suppose my shopping cart has following data:

# Item Rate Years Amount

1. domain.com 10 1 10
2. domain.net 10 2 20
3. domain.org 10 3 30

Now if I attempt to post this to Alertpay server using Advanced method and purchasetype as 'Subscription' with the following :

On AlertPay's payment page it shows 3 domains with Prices as : $10, $20, $30 but what it shows wrong is :

"Terms: $60 USD every year"

As you can see this is not correct. The same term can not be applied to all 3 domains because each of them has different Term and tenure so how can I use 'Subscription' in my case ?

Currently the parameter 'ap_periodlength' is mandatory. If we are allowed to skip it then it should work.

Please let me know the way out.

IPN not working, getting empty POST data

Since Nov4-09, i started receiving empty POST data but before that date, all seemed to be working fine.

Below is my custom buy now snippets..

and below is the code of my notify_url

So far today, I got 3 payments from the following email addresses below but received empty POST data.

Hoping anybody could shed some light as to why it just came up when it was working fine few days back.

Hi,

Suppose the fee is 3.9% + 0.59 i.e 0.039 of amount + 0.59.

Also suppose the amount is 5 USD, then is the $_POST['ap_feeamount'] 0.785 or 0.7849999999999999? I need to know the fee calculation in order to debit a membership site based on the amount I recieved and also to show the user the estimated amount their account (site account, not alertpay) be funded after transaction. They have to know what amount will to funded to this account before they make the transaction.

if it is rounded, then is it rounded upwards or downwards?

The test mode should really show fee! I can't make real payments just to see the fee structure.

Alertpay Module for Virtuemart Help

Hi I need help; I bought the Virtuemart Module for Alertpay through Feed2Post. I am having an issue, contacted the developer of the module but have heard no response. I set up the IPN with the secret code through my Alertpay account, but when an order is placed, and the customer completes the transaction through alertpay, the order status in Virtuemart does not update from Pending to Confirmed.

I would appreciate any help, and can provide any information you need in reference to the module itself (Readme, php code etc.) through private message/ email.

La commande se passe bien en mode test et tout le monde reçois ses mails. Je fais un retour pour le client vers mon site sur une page success_alertpay_5.php ou je le remercie de sa commande et lui donne des infos complémentaires. J’aurais besoin de récupéré des valeurs fournis par L’IPN pour cela.
J’ai récupéré le script de Beaster http://dev.alertpay.com/forums/t/1710.aspx que j’ai mis dans le fichier Ipnalert.php qui est appelé dans mon compte alertpay sur Ipnalert. Mais je ne reçois aucunes infos en retour
J’ai alors fait un appel dans success_alertpay_5.php avec un <?php include ('Ipnalert.php'); ?> pour récupérer les infos IPN. Mais non ca ne fonctionne pasnon plus
Alors je ne sais pas si je m’y suis bien pris et si les infos dans Ipnalert.php sont bonne ou pas. Le debug.txt m’indiquant bien que les vars restent vides.

Que dois-je mettre dans mon fichier success_alertpay_5.php pour afficher des retour alertpay comme le status du paiements par exemple?

Comment récupère-t-on les infos de L’ IPN pour ensuite les afficher sur un fichiers ou les mettre dans la base de données ?

when using the test mode on the ipn file, does alertpay still send the information to the ipn file because i can not get it to post the data from a purchase to my database no matter what i try to do.

When after test payment when it redirects to returm url it has a get data that seems to be encrypted i.e. [AP] => XaKx5TtrW8RAOtbx3qXzI8SuiMGmg0AdRV5zAY9S0frUCiv7iXCrGTnwvLWevcQGBQpNaKXQZAjzUa4qkGzZ+kZSrO......... so on.

How do I use it? any way to decrypt it?

Additionally, could anyone tell me what is returned on the ap_totalamount, ap_feeamount, ap_netamount post data on alert url? can't find it on integration guide.

This is my asumption please correct me if I'm wrong.

ap_totalamount = amount for product?
ap_feeamount = fee that's ap charges me 6.40% + 0.59 of the amount (if credit card)?
ap_netamount = ap_totalamount - ap_feeamoun?

Our customer just registered with alertpay and they have their own shopping cart programmed in asp.net.

we have to link the total & orderno in shopping with alertpay. we know that we have to advance intergration.

Can you guide us step by step waht to do. even we read the intergration pdf file but not that clear.

Modify existing subscription

Hi,

I have a question about subscription. Let's say I have three types of memberships on my site. One month a user subscribes for a basic membership. After 2 months, he changes his mind and wants to change the type of membership to silver (which costs more money a month). How is this done in alert pay? Does he have to cancel the initial subscription and subscribe again or is it possible to modify the existing subscription somehow?

For example at Paypal it works like this. If a user has existing subscription which has a due payment 15th of month and today's date is 1st of month, user can modify the existing subscription. The initial payment will continue till 15th and on 15th the user will be charget the higher amount.

Can somebody please answer me this?

The application that I am integrating AlertPay into has a "Maintenance" mode that can restrict all actions to an IP address to allow for testing. I would like to know the IP addresses for all of AlertPay's notification (including testing) servers. I have found this one through the forums:

But want to see if there are others/what they are so that I can ensure that AlertPay will be able to communicate with the server/application. Thanks!

Subscription IPN questions

I've been testing some subscriptions and my IPN integration, and have some questions about the process:

1) Is it possible to test a full subscription cylcle? (i.e. initial trial/payment, recurring payment, cancel/failure) The first payment comes through, but then there are no recurring payments after that, so I cannot test subsequent actions.

2) When I make an initial payment, I receive two IPNs - the first one that comes back is Subscription-Payment-Success (which has no trial information), and the second one is Subscription-Success (which contains trial information). Is this the correct order that they should be coming in? Also, if the trial amount is 0.00, shouldn't the ap_totalamount that comes in during these transactions be 0.00, instead of the regularly recurring price?

IPN. Alert URL. How to ensure that request came from alertpay

For example paypal offers send the request back to paypal and then they say if they sent it or not.

Some others uses verification hash strings.

What should I do to check the authenticity of request.

On the payment page, one of the required fields is Transaction PIN.

I read every page of literature available on dev.alertpay.com, and found no reference to this Transaction PIN.

Here are my questions:

- What is that Transaction PIN, and what's its purpose?
- Are we, as merchants, supposed to provide this Transaction PIN to our customers?
- If not, where in the process of opening an account with AlertPay are customers informed about this Transaction PIN and how are they informed?

My concern is that customers coming from our store will likely not have prior knowledge of AlertPay, may be puzzled by this Transaction PIN and drop out of a transaction.

How can I be sure this won't happen? What is AlertPay doing to ensure proper 'education' of our customers regarding this function?
