It is good that you except MasterCard payment now and have a temporary solution, but I hope soon you will be able to process MasterCard payment like a Visa.

Maybe if a MasterCard customer fills out the credit card part first then AlertPay sends them to a new page that tells them the seven extra steps they need to do they will do it since they already filled out the other information or tell them to use a Visa if they do not want to do this at the moment. I could put this info on my Site, but it could risk confusing some Visa Customer not to continue. Another words don't tell the customer this until they are trying to put the MasterCard through because you already got them to enter their name, address and credit card info etc. so now that you got them to go this far it is a better chance they will do the extra steps. Again, if you tell the MasterCard customer to do this ahead of time they may think it is to much trouble.

I have to agree 100%.

Ease of use and simplicity are a key to getting and keeping customers. I understand to some degree the CC companies' security measures, however this is VERY complicated and time consuming for the customer. There are probably at least 10, 000 or more websites like mine on the web offering the same type products. One thing is for sure.. if they have to go thru all of this just to buy form us, the majority of them will most likely not return or not even complete the purchase.

Please get these CC problems fixed so we as merchants can use AlertPay. Most of the other online merchants that I know do not currently use AlertPay, but almost all of them would if the CC issues were stable. You will own the market of online processing in a short period of time if you can get these issues fixed... I know I am not alone in that CC processing is the one main reason I use an online proccessor. Otherwise I'd just have the customer mail me a check!

Re: AlertPay Now Excepts MasterCard But Need to Be Member

It is good that you except MasterCard payment now and have a temporary

If you would like to make a MasterCard payment through AlertPay, please follow these instructions to do so:

1. Create an AlertPay account at www.alertpay.com/.
2. Validate your email address by following the steps in the validation email.
3. Login to your AlertPay account and add a MasterCard by clicking on “Profile”.
4. Under “Financial”, click on “Credit Cards”.
5. Return to the seller's website and click on the "Buy Now" button.
6. When prompted, login to your AlertPay account with your email address and password.
7. Change the source of funds to your MasterCard, type in the Transaction PIN and click “Send”.

Please note that this is a temporary solution to the issues we are experiencing regarding MasterCard payments.

Thank you for your understanding.

AlertPay Now Excepts MasterCard But Need to Be Member

I was told today May 29 2009 that AlertPay Now Excepts
MasterCard but new customers must complete the process of becoming a Member. This
extra step is not needed with VISA I was told by AlertPay.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to word this on our Sites
so customers that do not have a VISA Card will be willing to go through these
extra steps for a one time purchase. I don't want to scare the VISA or
MasterCard customers off but wording the MasterCard process steps in such a way
that potential customers get nervous and walk away because it seems to much
trouble etc.
