    timed out

Everytime i try to login or even send a support email i keep getting timed out. I'm really not sure what it could be. I tried deleting my cookies and using different browsers (FF and IE), but no luck. Any suggestions?

    Hi,

What type of connection do you have?

    Where are you located?

What do you see when you time out?

At what time were you trying?

I know we are experiencing a tremendous amount of traffic as of recently, so this may have something to do with it, however we will need to look into it further.

    Re: timed out

I have a DSL connection and i'm located in Canada.  As for the time out messages i get the typical "internet explorer cannot display the webpage. most likely causes are..." and "the connection was reset..." for IE and FF.

A large amount of traffic would explain this. Is there anything i can do? (besides asking people not to go on for five to ten minutes so that i can secure a connection Wink)

    Re: timed out

I have had the same problem and am in Canada too. I spoke to Sandeep the other day and he said the problem was with my computer and said that he would get back to me later that day. He did not. I called yesterday and left a message for him and no reply.

I have no problems with other sites. I have tried to create a new account, but had the same problem.

    Re: timed out

    Hi,

Well I went through some toubleshooting steps with Sandeep and it was determined that something was blocking my computer to access the login at AlertPay. I could access the home page and other pages, but couldn't login...it would just time out. We did a ping and tracert to discover there was no connection.

Sandeep suggested I contact my ISP to see if there was a problem. I did so and my ISP had no trouble with AlertPay...she even set up an account successfully. So the problem is with my computer. something is preventing it from loggin in to AlertPay. I have no trouble logging in to other sites at all. I did clean up some low risk adware programs by using Spyware Doctor (free with Google Pack) but it did not solve the problem. I also disabled my AV program and included AlertPay.com in my list of trusted sites...no luck.

This may be unrelated, but I was unable to successfully install MS Service Pack 3 with an "Access is Denied" error. I'm in the process of troubleshooting that issue at the moment. If I'm able to login to AlertPay after that, I will make a post here. If not. it looks like I'll be in limbo untill I get a new computer.

    Thanks for your help Sandeep.

    Leo.

    Re: timed out

Success! Once I fixed the Service Pack 3 install failed issue (Access is Denied), I was able to login to my AlertPay account.

     It worked! Big Smile

So the moral of the story is...make sure you have the latest service pack installed. Thanks a lot for the help guys, greatly appreciated.
