I am trying very hard to get a shopping cart to work with alertpay I have been pushing my web site designer to make is happen... any help would be great as if I use the buy it now buttons its fine BUT after adding the alertpay buttons the admin panel becomes useless. and the site will be static. also whats going on with credit card payments??
Works fine for me... I think! I dont have it in a live environment but... when I tested it, it does what it should. Simply, to collect the prices from your cart and slap them into the payment processing form. You may need to enable it from the zen-cart ACP... its pretty much plug and play otherwise. Try switching or "reseting" the template. You shouldn't need the image button, and you shouldn't be putting any generated Alertpay code snippits anywhere. Ignore the alertpay.gif. The mod will put a new "radio" button in the payment option area. It's that simple.
What it could reallllllllllllllly use, is an "express checkout" like paypal has, so you dont have to log in to use it. The paypal express button displays before the log in step and simply calculates the total from your guest cart and slaps it in their form. I wish someone who had more time would fix it up like that for us, since its open source. ;)
Ferhan, let me know if you want to have a looksie, I'll let you test it out if you like. I have the Paypal express installed too so you can see how all that works to get a good perspective on it. I hope you guys do something with this zen-cart/Alertpay code, its a real asset! This is how I found out about Alertpay!
*EDIT* Upon further review, I've noticed a small issue with this mod, perhaps it worked before, perhaps not. It should pass the address and profile info to the form for convienience. This however does not seem to affect its over-all basic functionality. Perhaps if I ever get some rest, I'll look deeper into it myself. ;)
