Is AlertPay down? I recently became aware of this, and I have written AlertPay with no response. Do you have a way to find out about it,

and  why there is no reply from AlertPay?

    Dear Worldwide Loan Club Members,

We would like to apologize for the extended downtime of our program, but we need to inform our members that disbursements are temporarily on hold. A person known to us only as "Mr. Ellsworth" at  AlertPay  has arbitrarily,  and without any reason given,  frozen our payouts account.  No one outside of AlertPay has made the request for him to do such a thing,  and several attempts by our management,  accounting,  and legal departments to find out why this decision was made by him have met with an answer by their support team that he is too busy  to talk to us. Members calling to ask about this issue have met with a standard stonewall answer that their funds are in the account. This has brought about lost time and hardship within the program. We are still awaiting for a response from this individual as to why he has reached this decision, but as of yet, have heard no word from him. We hope to have this issue resolved soon.

We apologize for this turn of events, and appreciate your continued patience.

    Management

Maybe AlertPay didn't want to be involved with an alleged sam site?

Re: Is AlertPay down? I recently became aware of this

The Better Business Bureau in Columbus, GA, has issued a alert about an online loan club offer. Worldwide Loan Club claims on its Web site, "Your solution for financial prosperity."

The offer requires participants to register and provide personal information including credit or debit card numbers, and also requires the enrollment of at least two other participants. The offer appears to be spreading among church congregations.

The BBB warns that the owner of the Web site and company cannot be identified at this time. The Web site URL does provide an address in Belize City, Belize, just south of Mexico. It is anonymously registered through an organization in Tokyo and is hosted on a server in Panama.

The BBB has researched the information on the Web site and considers the offer to be a complicated mixture of different aspects of Ponzi, pyramid and multi-level marketing schemes.

The primary concerns that potential participants should consider are:

    *

the offer originates from outside the continental United States,
    *

the principals can not be identified at this time, and
    *

giving credit or debt numbers to someone you do not know online may be a grave mistake.

Leonard Crain, President and CEO of BBB in Columbus, GA, warns that "providing this type of information to someone you don't know is very much like handing your credit or debit card to the next person you meet on the street.

BBB offers these tips on faith-based investment schemes.

From the Federal Trade Commission, these tips on identity theft tell how to protect your personal information.

I found out more about the issue today. There will be a reply, but a generic one without going into too much details.   It's funny that this site is blaming us when he was trying to defraud his members.  It's very easy to blame a 3rd party when you are trying to deflect blame off yourself.  Our team has been in communication with the owner.

Members calling and asking about someone elses account will not be answered as per our privacy policy, and I don't think you would want it any other way.
